STADTBAD, D-Gotha, 2010-2013

Revitalization of the Art Nouveau City Bath of Gotha. We carried out the construction supervision and quality control during the realization of the town bath, which was recognized in 2014 by the Thuringian Prize for Architecture in Gotha (Planning av-a architekten, Berlin). Various restoration measures (renewal of lead glazing, sustained interior ornaments, historic tiles in the former steam bath etc.) were coordinated together with very extensive construction measures to restore a modern indoor pool with sauna landscape. The new building is in the immediate vicinity of protected buildings and old trees, and thus had to be carried out with the greatest care.
